In excitement for the upcoming school year, CNAMF decided to help our community by hosting a Back-to-School backpack and supply drive to help children with limited resources so they may begin the school year with the tools they need for academic success. With so many uncertainties about how children will safely return to an in-person school environment and what classrooms will look like, many families need your help more than ever.

 

According to national survey results, families with children in grades K-12 are projected to spend $529 per child on back-to-school needs this year. This is an increase over last year’s spending, all due to an increased emphasis on technology-based learning tools.

 

For families in low-income neighborhoods, the costs are simply not realistic. Collecting and distributing school supplies for students from disadvantaged communities is sure to make an impact on their ability to begin the school year - school ready.

 

We are accepting donations for student backpacks as well as supplies and items from the teachers’ wish list posted below. CNAMF has committed to assisting Longview Elementary School in Phoenix and Curry Elementary School in Tempe.

 

The CNAMF office has designated July 11th and 12th from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon as its official drop off periods. Plan to drop your donation at the CNAMF office, 1208 E. Broadway, Ste. 218, Tempe, AZ 85282.

 

In appreciation of your generosity, we will have donuts and coffee available for you to enjoy on your ride home.
